The crew of a ferry rescued a 40-year-old shipwrecked man on a lifeboat in the sea area between Tinos and Mykonos on Monday.
According to reports, the rescue was carried out by the Super Express ferry, which was on a route from the island of Mykonos to the port of Rafina.
The 40-year-old was the sole occupant of a private boat that sunk.
In a statement, the coast guard mentioned the “rescue of a foreigner by the Super Express in the sea area 2.8 nautical miles south of Tinos after the partial sinking of a private boat.”
It was reported that the man, a Serbian national, was in good health and was being transported to the port of Rafina.
