A cargo ship moored at the port of Thessaloniki broke free due to strong winds in the area early Sunday, leading to a collision with another cargo vessel, port authorities have reported.
The collision caused material damage to both vessels. According to the Coast Guard, no injuries were reported, and no signs of marine pollution were detected.
The Central Port Authority of Thessaloniki is conducting a preliminary investigation into the incident.
