Iraq asks UN to help trace $17 billion oil money it says was stolen by the US

Iraq has asked the United Nations to help find $17billion of oil money it believes was stolen by America.
Its parliament says the cash was shipped over from the US to aid reconstruction after Saddam Hussein was ousted in 2003.
But it went missing the following year during the post-invasion chaos.
The committee called the disappearance a “financial crime” but said UN resolutions prevented Iraq making a claim against the US
