Experts of the OPEC+ Joint Technical Committee did not assess the impact of the potential EU ban on Russian oil import on the market at their videoconference meeting, a source in one of delegations told TASS.

“No,” the source said, responding to the relevant question. This topic would hardly be raised on May 5 at the meeting of the OPEC+ Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee and at the ministerial meeting, he added.

The European Commission earlier announced the sixth package of sanctions on Russia, which comprises a deferred ban on crude oil and petroleum products export to the European Union. The ban can be put into effect at the turn of this year – early next year.
