 U.S. HELLENIC HUNTING, FISHING & SHOOTING ASSOCIATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION

Our Federation wishes its members, all Marksmen, Hunters, and Fishermen as well as all fellow-Hellenes everywhere in the US, a Healthy and Joyous 2011. We also wish to apprise you that our Federation will hold its Vassilopita cutting on Thursday, January 27th 2011 at 8.30pm at the OASIS Patisserie on Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY Corner 196 street -718-3574833

Gerasimos Ambrosiatos, the President of the Youth Association ‘Aries’ will be the official host, greeting guests and  members participating in the event.  Subsequently, Federation Secretary Spyridon Christoforatos will announce to the members of the Administrative Councils as well as rank and file members present programs in existence for the community in the US as well as the expansion of such programs to reach Hellenism their native land thus aiding the infrastructure there as far as marksmanship and hunting tutoring.

Expressing our gratitude to the representatives of our Federation in Greece who are monitoring the reception by the public of  the The Political Crisis and Thoughs on How to Overcome, a book by the Chairman of the Democratic Regeneration Party Stelios Papathemelis” presented on Tuesday, December 14 2010 in the quarters of the Editors’ Union of Authors in Athens which  Educator and Educational Spokesperson for the LAOS party Adamandia Spathatou attended, as well as Correspondent and in charge of Community Affairs for the POLIS PRESS electronic newspaper Maria Baklava in Athens, Charge d’Affairs for Press and Information in Athens, Charge d’Affairs for Marksmanship matters, also in Athens Charalambos Papaioannou, charge of attorney Athanassios Papageorgakopoulos and Federation Chairman Stylianos Manis.

Our representative for Macedonian and Thracian Matters Helen Paschalaki held consultations with Michael Kalopoulos, the Chairman of the Union of Skeptics of Greece is expected to attend the Marksmanship drills being organized by the Federation in New York in cooperation with the Pan Macedonian Union of America in honor of Alexander the Great, the subject of which will be his untimely demise under ambiguous circumstances.

2011-2012 CMP College Scholarships for JROTC and ROTC Rifle Shooters.  The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) will provide scholarship assistance to encourage and reward outstanding and deserving students in JROTC/ROTC programs who also excel in rifle team programs at their schools. The CMP seeks applications from high school seniors who will enroll in a four-year college or university or from col­lege students who are already in pursuit of a four-year degree.  The CMP will award a combined maximum of 75 $1000 one-year ROTC scholarships on the basis of merit to selected Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force JROTC, and Army and Navy ROTC applicants during the current school year for undergraduate college or university study.
